Subulakshmi Baskaran knew that she wanted to work in a start-up<\/span> company<\/span> when she finished her studies as a software engineer in 2018. Since <\/span>Framsikt<\/span> was both a start-up at the <\/span>time, and in need of a product developer, it was a perfect match. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

– I started as a product developer and now I am a senior engineer and a part of the architect team. I am proud of what I have achieved in just three and a half years in <\/span>Framsikt<\/span>, <\/span>Subu<\/span> shares.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Framsikt is a software company that develops a cloud-based financial planning and management product. The customers are Norwegian municipalities, and the company has over 180 municipalities using the product. From training sessions to her own projects<\/h2>\n

Subu<\/span> is 25 years old from Andaman & Nicobar Island. When she first started working at Framsikt she worked from the main office in Bangalore.<\/span>But today she works from her home office. <\/span><\/p>\n

– The onboarding was smooth. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. In the beginning we had training sessions, and after two months we got to start with our own projects. And after three months we had our first successful release as new employees.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Valued and recognized<\/h2>\n

Subu<\/span> was together with her colleague Pavitra <\/span>Prabhu, <\/span>one of the first girls to start working in the development team at <\/span>Framsikts<\/span> department in India. Back then they were only 14 people overall, and now <\/span>Framsikt<\/span> Technologies India consists of<\/span> 24<\/span> <\/span>employees<\/span>. In both <\/span>Framsikt<\/span> India and Norway, the company <\/span>today has 79<\/span> employees. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– The team has always given me the possibility to grow as an engineer. They make me feel both valued and recognized, <\/span>Subu<\/span> explains as an important reason why she would recommend <\/span>Framsikt<\/span> as a workplace. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Good culture and helpful colleges <\/h2>\n

– H<\/span>ow is it to work for a Norwegian company that creates a system used by Norwegian municipalities?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

–<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em> Parts of the functionality and the understanding of the product were difficult in the beginning, and of course different from what I knew from financial <\/span><\/span><\/span> programs<\/span><\/span> in India. But the communications between the Norwegian and Indian employees are very <\/span>good, and that has made it a lot easier. My colleagues in Norway are always eager to help.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Subu tells that one of the things she appreciates about working at Framsikt, is that she\u2019s gradually gaining more responsibility for her own projects.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n

– In only a few months we learn to design a module by scratch. We learn by doing, and gradually getting more responsibility makes me feel valuable in the workplace.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

What would you say to someone thinking about applying for a job at Framsikt?<\/span><\/i>
